Student Name: Leena

Profession: Yoga Instructor

Problems She Identified:

  1. Stuttering

  2. Stage Fear and Insecurity

  3. Lack of Confidence

  4. Lack of Fluency in English

Problems I Identified:

  1. Lack of Body Language

  2. No Logical Flow

  3. Insecurity

  4. Slow Rate of Speech

Goal set by us: Being able to give confident presentations and talk to her clients with ease.

The first step we took was confidence building. This was a way to address her mental block and break the belief that she wasn’t fluent enough to communicate in English confidently. Once she felt that her belief about language was baseless, her confidence gradually improved.

To bring in energy into her presentations we focused on increasing the words per minute as well as volume. I told her to take short silences to form her sentences in her head before she could say it out loud. By allotting her time to process her thoughts we established flow in her presentations.

Using the storytelling formula, we increased audience engagement and made the presentation more interesting. Having a proper structure helped guide her through the process.

Next we dived into handling tough conversations with potential clients, answering common client queries and learning the art of pitching and negotiation. She found this section very valuable for her Yoga Coaching business.

As per stuttering, this wasn’t really a problem once she learned the power of silence.

Lastly, we worked on improving vocabulary and pronunciation through various exercises that were practiced on a daily basis.

If you find Leena’s story relatable, then book a free consultation session with me and let me help you on your communication journey.
